This week ItaliaES has selected for you the best concerts that will take place in April and May 2022, in the most important cities of Spain.
The Dead South are a Canadian musical group that depicts itself in the folk-bluegrass style. The band was founded in 2012 as a quartet by Nate Hilts, Scott Pringle, Danny Kenyon and Colton Crawford. The band played various live venues before releasing their debut EP in 2013 «The Ocean Went Mad and We Were to Blame«. The Good Company album single «In Hell, I’ll Be in Good Company«, produced by Orion Paradis, was created along with a YouTube video and is credited as contributing to the band’s breakthrough, which led them to significant overseas tours. The Dead South‘s music has an undoubtedly distinctive sound, built on a foundation of cello, mandolin, banjo and guitar that foregrounds the interplay between the voices.
The Dead South will perform on April 20 at 8pm at La Riviera in Madrid and on April 21, also at 8pm, at Razzmatazz in Barcelona.

Tokio Hotel, a group of German origins, was born in 2001 thanks to an idea of the twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schafer. Their upcoming concert in Barcelona will be part of the «Beyond the World Tour«, which was interrupted due to the pandemic. Mahmood, Alessandro Mahmoud‘s stage name, is a play on words between the singer’s surname and the expression «my mood», which represents his project to bring his personal story and therefore also his mood within music. In 2018 he wins the Sanremo Giovani contest, in Italy, with the EP «Gioventù bruciata«, this victory gives him the right to participate in the 2019 Sanremo Festival with the song «Soldi«, written with the collaboration of Dardust and Charlie Charles. Winning even this contest leads him to be the designated representative of «Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest» in Tel Aviv. In his next tour called «Ghettolimpio» Mahmood will present for the first time the songs of his latest album of the same name.
Mahmood will perform on May 4 at 21.00 at BUT in Madrid.

Shawn Mendes is a Canadian singer-songwriter, only 23 years old, who started climbing the ladder of success as early as 15 years of age, starting by posting short cover videos in the Vine app. This caught the attention of the media: his talent, teen-idol appearance and fan base quickly landed him a record deal. Since then, the singer has released several albums and many hit singles, including “In My Blood, Treat You Better and There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back”. He has won dozens of awards and has been nominated for three Grammy Awards. Additionally, in 2018, TIME Magazine named him one of the most influential people in the world.
His upcoming tour «Wonder: The Wolrd Tour 2022» will be worldwide and will bring the songs from his latest album Wonder to the audience.
Shawn Mendes will perform on May 14 at 9:30 p.m. at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and on May 20, also at 9:30 p.m., at WiZink Center in Madrid.

Ligabue is one of the most successful Italian artists, who has won in his more than thirty-year career more than sixty awards, including the most important two “Targhe Tenco”, a “Premio Tenco«, a “Le parole della musica award and a Lunezia award for the musical-literary value of the album Miss Mondo”.
