ItaliaES recommends the best concerts in Spain in 2022 (3)

30 November, 2021  Por ItaliaES Eventi

This week Italia.ES has selected for you the best concerts that will take place in June 2022 in Spain.

Noemi Carretta

The summer of next year will start under the sign of rock! We will see legendary bands that have literally marked the history of rock music playing in the most important cities of Spain.

Born in the Boston of the 70s, Aerosmith began their musical journey in rhythm and blues clubs playing covers of the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Steve Tyler imitated, with an even more eccentric style, Mick Jagger, and Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton set the stage on fire with their guitars. In the following years the band expanded with Joey Kramer and Ray Tabano. This last was replaced in 1971 by musician Brad Whitford, who completed the group.  After 30 years of success, the band entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Aerosmith is one of the best selling American hard rock bands of all time, with more than 150 million records worldwide and numerous awards won, such as 4 Grammy Awards, 8 American Music Awards, 6 Billboard Awards, 12 MTV Video Music Awards and 1 Soul Train Award for Best Rap Single in RUN DMC’s remix of “Walk this Way”. This new tour will celebrate 50 years of the band’s career, which will bring the greatest hits on many major stages in Europe.

Aerosmith will perform on June 4 at 21:30 at Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.

Guns N’ Roses is one of the most influential and legendary bands in the history of rock music. The band was formed in 1985 in Los Angeles and is currently composed of Axl Rose (vocals and piano), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Melissa Reese (keyboard). Their first album “Appetite for Destruction” in 1987 is the best-selling debut album ever in the United States with over 30 million copies. Over the past ten years Guns N’ Roses have performed live at many sold-out concerts and major festivals around the world. They remain one of the most important and influential bands in music history and continue to be a reference point for millions of fans.  “The light is at the end of the tunnel, we can’t wait to get back on stage” the band’s artists commented when talking about the spectacular new world tour that will take place in 2022.

Guns N’ Roses will perform on June 7 at 9:30 p.m. at Estadio Benito Villamarín in Seville.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the most iconic bands ever in the rock music scene. Founded in 1983 in Los Angeles, the group has sold over 80 million records and won 6 Grammy Awards. The band’s musical style definitely has a rock base, with an emphasis on funk and with contamination from other genres such as punk rock and psychedelic rock. Currently, the band is composed of the founding members, singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist John Frusciante. After years of success, the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.  This 2022 tour will bring a great news: the return in the group of guitarist John Frusciante, who had left the band for over 10 years. In addition to this news, it has been confirmed that the setlist of the concert will feature songs from the next album, which as Chad Smith told to Rolling Stone is “almost ready”. It will be released before the start of the world tour in the summer of 2022.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform on June 7 at 10 p.m. at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona.

Jethro Tull was an icon of British progressive rock between the 60s and 70s. The group was formed in 1967 by the flutist Ian Anderson and their music began in those years to offer a singular fusion of folkrock and hard rock, passing also by blues and jazz, but the real feature that distinguishes this band is the transverse flute played by Ian Anderson himself. Their new tour is called “The Prog Years” and will bring on stage their greatest hits, including Stand Up, Benefit, Aqualung, Thick As A Brick, Passion Play. But not only that, after almost 20 years Jethro Tull have confirmed the release of a new album in January 2022 which will be titled “The Zealot Gene“.

Jethro Tull will perform on June 9 at 21.00 at Cartuja Center CITE in Seville.
