ItaliaES recommends: the best concerts in November and December 2021 in Barcelona

5 November, 2021  Por ItaliaES Eventi

Andrea Motis locandina

This week ItaliaES recommends

Noemi Carretta

This week ItaliaES recommends the best concerts and events that will take place in the last months of 2021 in Barcelona.

Andrea Motis and  Sílvia Pérez Cruz and Javier Colina Trio  will perform musical performances with a jazz soul, united by the dominant presence of instrumental interpretations that characterize each artist.
Musician and singer Andrea Motis began studying as a saxophonist and trumpet player at the age of 7 in a music school in Barcelona. A very precocious artist who at the age of 12 collaborates with the jazz group Sant Andreu Jazz Band, led by musician Joan Chamorro. Since 2010 she has started recording solo albums and participating in various concerts and music festivals around the world.

Andrea Motis will perform on November 17th at 8.30 pm at the Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona.

Sílvia Pérez Cruz and Javier Colina Trio  celebrate the 10th anniversary of the edition of “En la imaginación“, a reinterpretation of classics of cuban music selected and arranged by the two musicians. Javier Colina is one of the best and most celebrated double bass players of today, with a strong interest in latin music and especially cuban rhythms, always starting from the language of contemporary jazz.

Sílvia Pérez Cruz is one of the most overwhelming voices to appear in recent times in the Iberian Peninsula, she grew up in iberian and latin american folk songs and trained in classical music and jazz. Cuban music brought them together, leading to the creation of an album featuring “African music with a Castilian metric for the lyrics; boleros, with their stories of love and heartbreak” says Javier.

The artists will perform on 9 December at 20.30 also at the Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona.
