Andrea Vanzo, class 1989, is a composer, pianist, and music producer from Sadurano, a small village near Bologna. He dedicated several years to the composition of soundtracks for the cinematic and theatrical field: he gained important recognition in 2014, with «Shame and Glasses«, awarded as «Best Soundtrack» at the Corto Lovere International Short Film Festival. The advent of the Pandemic marked a turning point in his career: in fact, he decided to embark on an autonomous path, aimed at his own artistic maturation and the development of a musical language that fundamentally draws inspiration from the natural environment. The latter is the undisputed protagonist of his pieces, performed with a piano built for the occasion, in natural settings such as the open countryside, mountains, and cliffs overlooking the sea. The harmonious combination of breathtaking sceneries and live performance is captured in videos shot by the director Alessio Sansone, which then went viral on social media including Instagram and Tik Tok. Through these online platforms, Andrea Vanzo manages to spread and communicate his art to a wider and heterogeneous audience; at the same time, messages related to environmental protection are conveyed in a very effective way. Among the various successes, it is worth mentioning “Wires” which ranked first at an international contest promoted by the «Central European String Quartet” in 2020; in the same year, Vanzo released the EP “Frames” which marked his debut in the contemporary classical genre. Moreover, his first album “Intimacy Vol.1”, published in 2022 and widely appreciated by social and streaming platforms’ audiences, sealed the success of his career in the musical field. The artist is currently collaborating on different recording projects and preparing his first Eueopean Tour.
